Day 8: Sunday in Sims Town

Oh man, is it just me or does anyone else feel it is time for a slap fight?

Abe certainly agrees it is slapping time.

This was all brought about because Tanga came upstairs and insulted Abe. Abe thinks it is perfectly acceptable to respond to an insult by slapping a woman.

Downstairs Alderaan was baking waffles and managed to set the oven on fire. The fact that waffles are not made in the oven did not seem to bother her whatsoever.

Supercalvin is the only one with his head about him enough to put the fire out. I guess you could say that Abe has his head about him as he is thinking how awesome it is that the stove is on fire, but that is not helpful. The stove has been destroyed leaving the house without a way to cook food until someone works another day.

The fireman shows up to find he is no longer needed. It is probably a pretty good thing that SuperCalvin put that fire out, as with everyone clustered about the entrance there, I don't know if the fireman could have gotten through.

Abe has a new want nothing like beating someone up to feel better about yourself.

Well damn, I guess he's really decided that Tanga will be his nemesis.

Way to bring it to a whole new level, Abe. You are quite the evil bastard.

Tanga doesn't seem to have the hate that Abe does, and just wants to be a little mean to JRB. That's understandable, who doesn't want to be mean to JRB every now and again?

Tiim has managed to break both the kitchen and bathroom sinks. The place is falling apart.

Abe has gotten a promotion and his ill-gotten gains have given us enough money to buy a new stove.

The new stove is in place. I got a better model than the house came with, hopefully this will mean less burned food.

I invited Sanchez over, Abe really wants to become friends with him and I figured I'd provide opportunity for it to happen. He ended up being over for just long enough to tell a couple jokes before he ran home though.

SuperCalvin walks in on JRB taking a shower. There is no privacy needed.

I send Gale on one last date with Nom. Hopefully this will be what is needed to achieve that opportunity. I guess I will find out tomorrow when he goes back to work.

Odd that everyone suddenly has begun walking in on each other in the bathroom, this has not really happened before. What could be making these guys suddenly want to see each other pee and shower?

Awwwww yeah. Gale is hell of ready to date, all leather jacket and uh... pinstripe suit pants?

After dinner, Gale immediately begins ignoring Nom, and instead hangs around talking to Shenanigans for a while then going home.

The shower has broken now too. This place is falling apart completely.

Damn it SuperCalvin, that is the new stove. Do not set that thing on fire.

Luckily it was SuperCalvin who set it on fire, he is the only one who will put fires out himself and he managed to do so before the stove was destroyed. There was no property damage or loss this time.

As dawn breaks, JRB takes up the kitchen sink to sponge bathe. Never mind the working shower or the broken shower, JRB wants to sponge bathe in the kitchen.

I will eventually get around to simming the remaining 7 people. The big thing that is holding me back right now is because there really is very limited options you have to start with and EA is being slow as butts releasing new content online, so I really don't even have anything to buy with the $10 credit they give you on the online store to start. Anyhow, I will update again sometime.

Day 7: One week of play only took me one month.

Wow, I really thought I'd be able to update again sooner because I played and cropped days ago, but then I just never got around to updating, it seems. Oh well, I will update again this weekend, and like all of my promises, you can not rely on that.

When you last saw Abe, he had just beat up SuperCalvin, now that everyone else is up, Abe and JRB talk about party hats while Alderaan watches TV.

Alderaan starts playing guitar so Abe and JRB watch her and tap their feet. SuperCalvin sat down to watch TV and chose to sit in the spot where he just would be staring at Abe's crotch.

I mean look at that, he's just got a face full of Abe-crotch.

Tanga unclogs a toilet and gains some handiness skill, Alderaan's guitar playing has improved her skills as well.

I just wanted to show the quality of the bathroom. That toilet is disgusting and it leaked shit water all over the floor and has now leaked outside of the bathroom into the hall. Tanga is standing in that shit water.

Ripper comes running by. I wasn't sure why, but this was about the only thing that happened this day that wasn't the standard cook, clean, eat, shit, shower stuff. This household is BORING.

So to make it more interesting I sent JRB and SuperCalvin over to the house of Sanchez et al.

Standing across the street Ominousoat was just hanging out in one of the most ridiculous outfits I have ever seen.

I make another attempt for Gale and Nom to go on their date.

Mmmmm, deep fried. Everything should be deep fried.

Hooray, money!

Clicky catches SuperCalvin showering in his house, meanwhile JRB is just hanging out reading.

After being forced to end his shower short of completion, SuperCalvin hangs out for a couple hours in the bathroom talking to SnakeFace on his cellphone.

Meanwhile, over at the deep fried diner, Gale and Nom are gossiping.

Gale then starts flattering Nom, she eats this shit up. They are seriously getting along really well.

I know it might not look like a bunch of time has passed, but it has seriously been like 4 hours, JRB still reads, and SuperCalvin has made another attempt at showering in someone else's house. Clicky is not amused. Nistal is home now as well, JRB ignores him and continues reading.

After standing in the parking lot chatting for hours, Nom and Gale decided to head inside to grab some drinks. Unfortunately I needed them to get dinner together so I will probably have to send them out on another date and hope they grab dinner that time, or I can just break the prime directive and order them to grab dinner. Nom also changed clothes for this. I don't know where she was hiding another outfit or how she managed to change in the parking lot without anyone caring, but she did it.

When I checked what was going on back at the house, I found this. Abe must have eaten some spoiled food, and now he is puking.

The next time someone pukes, I have to get a video of it, it was like watching a cat throw up, a real whole-body sort of vomit.

I sent Gale and Nom out on another date, this time I hoped they would get dinner instead of just getting drunk.

Zach completes another painting, dude is a painting machine.

I decided that the bedroom needed a little decorating, so I threw this painting in the small bedroom. Next painting I think I will put in the big bedroom.

Tanga sees that Zach is done painting so she comes over to talk to him about how much she hates Abe.

Zach of course agrees with her opinion, and Zach and Tanga improve their friendship as a result.

Over at the restaurant, Gale and Nom are once again just standing outside chatting instead of getting food. Nom has yet another outfit on.

Johnny Violence came up behind Nom and just stood there for about half an hour while thinking about Nom, then he walked away.

Gale somehow managed to get from 3 feet in front of Nom where they were talking to behind Nom without her seeing him sneaking around her, then he scared her.

Over at Sanchez's house, everyone is home now and they are talking in the living room, but JRB is taking a nap on their bed instead.

I had to take a picture of this, as Zach is doing something other than painting or cooking.

It seems that Gale and Nom grabbed desserts, a cookie for gale and some kind of cake for Nom. It is hard to see but Nom's cake is on fire. I hope that this dessert counts as getting dinner together, if not I will have to send them on another date tomorrow.

After finishing their food, Nom got up and walked over to a table at the other end of the patio. Gale got up and joined her again after he was done yelling to the sky that he was tired.

JRB continues to be a good guest, eating some soup instead of talking to anyone. Clicky kicks him out though.

After being kicked out of the house at 1 in the morning, JRB just stands out front and reads a book, which I can only assume is the same book he was reading at their house, and he probably got that there. Also, someone has kicked over one of the pink flamingos.

Gale got back and all the beds were taken, so he went to sleep on the bench out on the front porch.

JRB shows how nice he is by picking up that downed flamingo.

He then heads home to talk to Tanga about Zach's problems, like right in front of where Zach is sleeping.

When Zach wakes up, he starts yet another painting, Abe grabbed some of yesterday's leftover burned waffles, and I decided to give him a chance at achieving that want of having there be a fire in the house by lighting a fire in the fireplace. Maybe a spark will catch something on fire.

When Abe finishes his waffles, he starts playing with the fire. He is putting his hand in the fire then pulling it out and stuff like that. Maybe this will help catch the house on fire for him. Also, it is dawn again so it is time to call it a day.

I know there are still 7 of you to sim. I will get around to that, no one else request until I am finished with those seven. I really will try to get at least one more update this weekend.

Day 6: Boy do I rock at not updating.

Oh man, am I awesome at not updating when I say I will, or what?

It is once again morning, and Zach screams to the heavens that he is hungry. There is no ready food in the house though, so if he wants to eat, he will have to make it from scratch.

Tanga is off to work and has read that book she had to read, Zach begins to make waffles.

He doesn't finish though because his carpool arrives, so he leaves a bowl of waffle batter on the counter and heads to work.

Everyone is at work, but Alderaan starts work at 3 pm, so she spends the entire morning and afternoon watching TV. She leads an exciting life.

Gale gets a job opportunity, and it is a date. Who could turn that down? The town's ratio is something like 7 men for every woman, after all.

Tiim gets another opportunity, this one to read a book. Easy enough.

Kind of bad lighting, but with this day's earnings, I bought a guitar, a desk, and a chair. As soon as everyone else gets home from work, I will get a computer.

Zach improves his painting.

Gale is the only person that actually has a friend, even among the housemates, I don't know how he became best friends with FunkMessiah so quickly, but he wants to invite him over, so I do that.

FunkMessiah comes over and Zach invites him in. In the background you can see Gale getting cleaned up for him.

Zach learns a fact about FunkMessiah, Zach is having a great time on the porch, and Gale comes out to greet FunkMessiah.

Gale's greeting consists of insulting FunkMessiah. It is the traditional English greeting, I believe.

Gale went to bed after insulting Funk Messiah, and when I went back downstairs to see what FunkMessiah was up to, I found this. I don't know what is going on here.

JRB was the first person to use the new computer, and for such a productive purpose too, I'd have expected porn to be the first use, really, but it seems to be a football video game instead.

Go to her, Gale, go. After Gale woke up, I sent him to try to complete his opportunity.

Gale has arrived and Alderaan has received a promotion. Things are looking up for the Dongs. We have most of the things they want or need, all that is needed now is enough beds to let all of them sleep at the same time, and upgraded furniture.

Ok, this is weird. I swear that he was supposed to meet her for dinner, but when Gale arrived to where he was to meet Nom, it was like a library or something like that. They were the only two people there and the place was just filled with books.

Gale immediately uses his charms upon Nom, insulting her right off.

Gale went to grab a book to read, when he came back, Nom was nowhere to be found. This was not a good dinner date, perhaps tomorrow night will be better. It is Friday in the game and they only need to have their date sometime before Monday morning.

Zach finishes his second painting, and what a beauty it is.

I decided to put that beautiful painting somewhere nice, so here it is at the top of the stairs.

1:00 am, Zach is making waffles, FunkMessiah needs to head home.

After Zach finishes making waffles, he heads to bed, but he can not sleep there as Tanga is already in the other side.

The only logical thing therefore is to go cook something else. Oddly, Zach gained the cooking skill before he even began cooking. Just deciding he would cook has made him a better cook.

Zach makes some apple pancakes, looks good.

His waffles were quite terrible, on the other hand. What do you think SuperCalvin would choose to have for breakfast?

Of course SuperCalvin chose the disgusting burnt waffles over the tasty apple pancakes. Also, Zach sets down his plate of pancakes outside on the deck so that he can scream into the night sky that he is very hungry.

Abe's newest lifetime wish is quite odd. He wants the house to be set on fire? What do you bet that happens?

Tiim works on achieving that opportunity.

Abe is off in the new living room slapping the shit out of SuperCalvin.

He then tells SuperCalvin that his mother was a llama. SHIT IS SERIOUS.

They throw down, and SuperCalvin gets his ass kicked.

Dawn arrives once again, with Abe standing victoriously over the defeated SuperCalvin.

Day 5: What do you mean I didn't update for almost a week?

So it has been almost a week since I updated. Whoops. Here's a new one:

As we last left, Alderaan had hung out over at Sanchez's place for a good 10 hours and showed no sign of stopping, everyone else was just beginning to wake up.

Supercalvin took a shower, afterwards he stood outside the shower and read a book. The game said Tiim was “gussying up” but I have reason to believe he was trying to destroy the mirror with his mind.

Zach starts his morning off by standing in front of the window in his underwear and painting.

At 7 in the morning, Nistal finally breaks off conversation and heads inside. You'd think Alderaan would head home now, but you'd be wrong.

Gale entertains Tanga with a funny face.

Tiim does not want a demotion. Fuck that noise.

Supercalvin has the day off, so I send him to visit with Lee, who must also have the day off to be able to be visited in the daytime.

Right off the bat, Bakudai tells SuperCalvin how much he dislikes SnakeFace. SuperCalvin does not find this to be very polite of Bakudai.

Bakudai changes tactics in winning SuperCalvin's friendship, and instead starts telling SuperCalvin about how he does not like SuperCalvin. This also makes SuperCalvin dislike Bakudai.

SuperCalvin responds with the old, “Yeah, well you live in an ugly home full of ugly people.”

This saddens Bakudai so much, he does the only thing he can think to do, head upstairs to cuddle with a teddy bear.

Well of course he is evil, woman! This seems to only make Abe happy that his evilness was recognized.

Abe yells at Tanga, I assume he's calling her some kind of Yeti. Their current relationship is not good. They dislike each other, in fact.

Bakudai must have run out of rude things to say to SuperCalvin, as now he just talks to him about computers.

We now have a TV and a couch upstairs in that new room. I still want to get a guitar, a computer, and a radio up there, but it is well on its way to being a useful room.

Alderaan really seems to not want to head home. It is after 2 in the afternoon and she is still at Sanchez's house. I don't know how long she's been sleeping in his yard, but she's been over at his house for for 16 hours now and has yet to go inside.

Who's that guy who is showering in his swim trunks again? Yep, it is Zach.

When Alderaan wakes up, she gets herself a taxi and heads over to work, and apparently she's much better than the rest of her coworkers.

Bakudai and SuperCalvin continue to get along as they have been. Bakudai now criticizes SuperCalvin some more.

I sent Abe over to visit with Sanchez, when I came back 20 minutes later, Abe hadn't made it to Sanchez's house yet, he had just gotten to the front yard, kicked over the trash can, then called up Sanchez so the two of them could talk on the phone for an hour or so.

I am not totally sure what Gale did, but Omnilingua wasn't having any of it. It was a pretty empty threat though, everyone kept saying this whenever anyone was being an asshole, and Gale is not the most polite of people. Also, if you didn't notice, I had Gale come over and join SuperCalvin at Lee's house after work.

Abe was heading home from Sanchez's house (where he never got around to going inside, by the way), and I decided he should visit at Lee's house instead. I sent him to the front yard and figured he'd make his way in and socialize from there, but he had other plans.

TRASHCAN-KICKIN' PLANS!

Abe had a pathing error when he was going over to insult Lee's home. This made him a bit frustrated.

SuperCalvin criticized Bakudai, and Bakudai can't take it as well as he can dish it out.

This is how Abe deals with new people.

These threats of being sent home become pretty constant. They are never followed through.

Abe manages to scare Omnilingua from like 3 feet away, and he had been standing in front of him.

Oh hey, Abe decided to be nice! This is quite the turnaround for him!

...Perhaps not.

SuperCalvin shows what a classy dude he is by going to sleep in Lee's bed while over for a visit.

Everyone gathers to tell SuperCalvin he is being inappropriate, but SuperCalvin is asleep, he can not hear their complaints.

Tiim goes to visit Ripper.

Bettytron was making hotdogs for everyone, but she burned them pretty badly. Abe seems frustrated, or perhaps he's dropping a deuce in his jeans.

Bakudai shows the classy kind of dude he is by telling Gale all about how he does not like Bettytron.

Gale tells Illiterati about constellations while Abe tells Bettytron about how her family is pretty terrible.

When abe starts sneaking around, you know what is coming.

A fat man having a heart attack.

Ripper begs Tiim for money. OminousOat seems to have joined the military, and he's talking to Sev_Squad about garbage.

Abe hates everyone and their families.

FINE! WE WILL GO! It is 12:30 am and everyone gets kicked out.

Sort of anyways, it just prevents them from being able to go inside, everyone is perfectly able to hang out outside. Tiim and Gale headed home, but SuperCalvin and Abe stayed in the yard. Here we can see Abe talking to Illiterati about how he is going to punch him right in the throat.

SuperCalvin tells Lee that his home is a terrible place.

Ah, the old “your mother is a llama.” Class act, that Abe.

5:45 in the morning, the sun is starting to rise, Abe is insulting Lee with some kind of fly insult. Back at the house, people are waking up, but Abe and SuperCalvin show no sign of heading home.

I will really try to get around to simming those 7 people that have asked. Also, I will try to keep on a every-other-day-or-so update schedule.

Day 4: I have no witty subtitle

Morning in this house can mean only one thing: Abe being an asshole to whoever he first comes across.

In this case, it is Gale and Abe is making sure to scare him, while oddly thinking of nuclear material.

Scaring the crap out of Gale was a blast, I guess.

Tiim has finished that book that he had to read and his job performance has gone up as a result.

Alderaan shows how great a cook she is by burning the shit out of the morning waffles. Also, Zach had just made waffles a couple hours ago, so I don't know why she made more.

Your sims don't seem to ever pay their bills themselves, but a popup does come up to tell you it is time to pay them, which is nice.

Luckily for her, some of Zach's waffles were still left, so she could have those instead. Her disgusting waffles go in the fridge, where everyone else can have them.

JRB's book-reading opportunity was successful as well.

Abe has the day off of work today and tomorrow, I think I will send him over to meet the newest group of people to our fine town.

That would be Sanchez, Clicky, Nistal, and BSam

Unfortunately they seem to be heading off in a carpool to work.

Poor, poor Abe. He looks so sad. He had just rounded the corner and was only one house down from them when he saw them leaving.

I send Abe over to central park, I figure he can find something to do there, or maybe fish or something if he can't hang out with anyone

Oh you sons of bitches. Who gets a carpool to go hang out in the park all day? Do none of you bastards have a job?

Abe excitedly runs into the park, then stands around for a while.

When Sanchez comes further into the park, Abe makes a rude introduction to him. That's how you win friends. “Hi, your mother's a whore. I had sex with her, and might well be your father, you bastard. My name is Abe.”

More of these unemployed bastards show up. Is everyone here just faking having a job? You can watch them leave in a carpool every morning, yet they just all show up to the park?

Sanchez is the first person to respond well to Abe trying to mastermind a plot with them.

This is likely why. They are brothers in evilness.

This is the first social thing that Abe has wanted to do that hasn't been trying to make someone else feel bad. My hope is that Sanchez and Abe become evil, gay cowboys.

Awwwww, Omnilingua, Shenanigans, and SnakeFace have a picnic and talk about jewelry. That's so cute.

If you are at all curious how Alderaan has spent the time since we last saw her 4 hours ago eating waffles, she has spent it asleep. She has the day off too, but it is a bit less exciting when instead of going out to do something, she spends her time sleeping.

In the background you can see that Bettytron has joined the picnic, and Shenanigans has left. I can only assume the female:male ratio got too high for him. In the foreground you can see that some food that is lying around on the ground. What do you think Abe will do?

Yep, found-hamburgers are the food choice for real men.

JRB gets a promotion and gets off work early. He works right across the street from the park so I have him walk on over.

Before JRB can get there though, Bakudai, Bettytron, and SnakeFace go running the other direction and grab a cab. They must have heard he was coming.

Abe sits alone at a picnic table, everyone else in the park is socializing over at the other end.

Checking back in with Alderaan, she has started reading the book for her job opportunity.

Abe was going to have a picnic, but upon arriving, he saw a fireman sitting there, so he went to read instead.

Hey alright! Tanga gets a promotion and gets off of work early as well.

With the money from all these promotions, I decided I would expand the house, and chose the space above the car port as where I would expand at. This does give me the advantage of easy space that will be easy to get to, but it makes the house look kind of funny.

Also, I ran out of money before I could finish putting a floor down everywhere. If they can jump, the sims can still get into this new room.

Tanga had barely started that book when she went into work this morning. After getting out, she just stood there reading instead of heading home.

An hour or so later and Ripper gets off of work. I guess some of the other sims actually work instead of spending their entire day pretending to be at work while in reality they are hanging out at a park.

Tiim gets a raise as well. We are climbing the corporate ladder, people!

With the day's wages in hand, I have enough to complete the building of this room. I just need to think of a purpose for it. I was thinking a general entertainment room. We don't have room for a computer or TV downstairs or for much of anything, really, this gives enough room to have that kind of stuff.

SuperCalvin had a big day and is just tuckered out. Upon getting home, he goes to sleep on the kitchen floor.

Then Zach breaks the kitchen sink.

Tanga has finished one book and started on another, and even got halfway done with it.

Zach views his art. He is pretty pleased with it.

Abe is fishing over at the pond in the park.

Tanga had a wish to get some handiness, so she's the one fixing the kitchen sink. Everyone else will mop up the giant puddles that are forming every now and then when they walk by.

The artist at work. Zach has begun another painting and has gained some painting skill.

JRB views Zach's painting with a different feeling than Zach had. Also, JRB is in his underwear again. That dude loves hanging out in his underwear.

7:22pm and everyone seems to be either asleep or getting ready for sleep, except for Alderaan, who having not woken up until 11am is still wide awake.

As she is still awake, I send Alderaan over to visit at Sanchez's house.

Abe is still at the park fishing.

Here is the lovely home of one Sanchez the Dirty. I don't know how 4 people manage to sleep there, but they must manage.

Abe wanted to buy a book on catching minnows, so I obliged him and also picked up a book for Tanga as well. I don't know that they will ever go buy books on their own or not, but they will read them on their own if they are in the book shelf.

Zach and Abe both wanted to use this bed for sleeping tonight, and as so often happens, decisions end up being made by the old rule.

Whoever strips naked first is the winner.

Abe therefore runs to take a nap on the bench outside. That's too bad, there was a nice couch ready for him.

Alderaan is still over at Sanchez's house, though she hasn't yet spoken to him or to Clicky. It has just been BSam and Nistal who will wander out and speak to her for an hour or so in turn. Alderaan hasn't actually gone in the house yet, as a matter of fact.

1:24 am, everyone has begun waking up and getting the day started. SuperCalvin and Abe eat horrible, burned, leftover waffles while Gale showers.

It really makes you feel kind of bad for them. They would rather eat day-old burned waffles than just cook something up. After his breakfast, Abe goes back to bed

Alderaan is still going strong over at Sanchez's house though. Bettytron kicked Gale out at 1:00 am, there appear to be no similar rules at Sanchez's place.

Because Alderaan just keeps going, and going, and going. The conversations just do not die. She showed up just after 8 pm, remember.

Burnt waffles for everyone!

Gale gets ready for the workday by watching Zach sleep.

6:00 in the morning, and it's time for me to call it a day. Not Alderaan though, she has spent 10 hours hanging over at Sanchez's house and shows no sign of wanting to go home.

That's it for today. I will try to catch up on simming people tonight, but I can't guarantee it will be done by any reasonable hour.

Day 3: let's all feel a little creepy.

Ah, the Sims. What other game can simultaneously entertain you and make you feel like a creepy voyeuristic bastard?

On today's episode we see the neighbors! We even go inside their house! You have to be invited in to see inside their house, otherwise you can watch them doing things through their windows. I bet you feel creeped out just reading that.

As a side note, it seems that the game keeps automatically populating the neighborhood with random sims. I have evicted everyone in town 3 times now, but there are still more. There are always more! Hopefully if I populate the town with enough of us, the game will stop trying to throw in more sims to fill it out.

So what was that, 4 and a half hours of sitting on the couch cuddling?

I saw that there was mail, and I was kind of curious if they would ever pay their bills on their own, so I considered forcing them to pay them, when I saw this. No one else has any options but get bills and pay bills. Abe, on the other hand, also would like to undermine the Alternative Sports Society and the Gastronomy Club. Abe hates more than just people, he also hates the things people like!

An opportunity for Zach.

Man, fuck The Organization. Abe was busy sleeping, eating, showering, and wanting to insult SuperCalvin.

Again, Alderaan's odd work schedule makes her the only one home for about 5 hours every day, so I spend a lot of time just kind of watching her. After recycling the previous day's newspaper, she got really excited about something music-related. Or maybe she was scared, I can't really tell.

New messages show up at the top and older ones get pushed down. But Gale is the first person to be promoted. That fat beardy ginger is an excellent worker.

I think this is JRB's first opportunity. He is also in politics, if you can't tell by the little icon there.

No promotion, but Tiim got a big raise. Way to go Tiim!

Mo' money, mo' problems. This gives enough to start buying some other shit for the house.

First thing I do is put a bookshelf and chair in that little room off the kitchen that leads to the car port. I am going to buy a car when I have the money, perhaps tomorrow. The other item on the list would be new beds, as better quality beds restore your energy faster, allowing you to get less sleep per night as well as be in a better mood for longer when you wake up. Replacing all the beds would cost something like 10,000 bucks though, so it is a ways off.

Tanga earned 1 dollar more than SuperCalvin today. DAMN SEXISM! Equal work, equal pay!

There were a few problems yesterday with everyone wanting to use the shower at the same time, so I moved the downstairs bathroom's sink and toilet, then added in a shower. We will now be able to see two evil showers at once!

More snooping around the neighborhood.

Gale was going to visit, but apparently you can only visit a neighbor's house when the patriarch is home, in this case the patriarch is Ripper. I suppose she could be the matriarch, but nah.

JRB is sad. All he wants is to become friends with Gale!

He also wants to hang out with Tiim. Poor, poor, JRB.

Zach has the best wage of everyone. A paper boy makes good money, it seems. A criminal, on the other hand does not get paid well. Zach succeeds in his opportunity, so his quality of work jumps up.

Lee is home, so Gale heads over for a visit.

Over at the Remongton household. This is a real classy place, I will have to remember to give a full picture of it sometime, but it is a dilapidated shack-looking thing. The refrigerator is outside on the front porch, they have a living room couch in the front yard, there is a swamp that kind of encroaches between the street and the house, with only a narrow strip of land that runs across allowing you to get to the house. Also, there is Illiterati.

Shenanigans, Omnilingua, and Bettytron are also hanging out out front, and Shenanigans is thinking about Groucho Marx glasses.

The first thing Gale wants to do after he shows up. Stay classy, Gale.

With Gale over at Lee's place, I send SuperCalvin over to Ripper's.

Gale hasn't greeted Lee yet, so I can only stare in through the window still. How much creepier is it staring in a window on the second floor at a woman than it is staring in through a ground floor window at Lee and Shenanigans?

SuperCalvin doesn't screw around when he goes to visit, and immediately greets Ripper.

I can't see inside until the greeting is over though, so I don't get to see furniture. Either that, or Bruce is a transcendental meditation-sidhi yogi. Two people got that reference.

Gudamor is done with work! Come visit with SuperCalvin, Gudamor.

Alderaan gets another work opportunity. Pretty sweet job she has though, being able to be paid to be a music fan.

SuperCalvin listens to Bruce ramble on for a while. I guess Bruce has something to say about chicken legs? Also, as you can see, now that we are inside, we can see the whole house and furniture.

JRB eats dinner, and Abe starts reading a book.

Gudamor is excited about something, SuperCalvin is less so.

I noticed something about Plustax, he changed his outfit on his own and he no longer has long hair. Weird.

Over at the Remongton house, a conversation between Bettytron, Omnilingua, and Gale. I missed it, but after this conversation ended, Gale looked at Bettytron, whistled, and got a little heart thing in a thought bubble. I think our little boy has his first crush.

Omnilingua scares everyone away.

Ripper KEEPS asking SuperCalvin for money. She probably has a new fursuit to buy or something, freak.

Meanwhile, Abe continues to read.

getting to about 10:30 or so, Gale is still hanging out over at Lee's house. Gale, Bettytron, Snake_Face, and Illiterati watch TV while Bakudai ignores them all to read the newspaper. Bakudai is just like a dad from a 50s sitcom.

Ominousoat wants to talk to SuperCalvin.

I took it small on purpose here, nothing much to say about this except that 5 people sleep. That is everyone but SuperCalvin and Gale who are out visiting friends still.

Oh yeah, and Abe, who is still reading. He has nearly read the entire book tonight.

Over at Ripper's, Sev_squad is the first to go to sleep, earning him the right to have a bed to sleep in.

Demha is second, frustrating the attempts of Gudamor and Ominousoat. Not that I'd be willing to fall asleep if Ominousoat was mad at me for stealing the bed.

Bruce entertains SuperCalvin, while Ripper stands in the background watching. Furries are strange.

Meanwhile at Lee's place, Gale cooks up some hot dogs and eats 2 plates all by himself. There is no one else around.

This is the largest conversation I have seen yet. 4 people seems like it is the new limit of conversation size.

Bettytron kicks Gale out, despite him still hanging out with Illiterati. It is 1 am now though, so he heads off. In the background is Omnilingua who nearly peed himself because he just sat on the couch watching TV too long. Also, I bought this house furnished and I have just noticed that there is a crib in there.

SuperCalvin went home about 12:30 and found all of the beds were taken, so he slept on the couch.

Gale was not so lucky, having to sleep on the bench on the front porch.

SuperCalvin wakes after a couple hours to clean the toilet. He must have had some nightmares.

Who's that man showering in his bathing suit? Why it is Zach!

Gale really likes to scare JRB, and JRB really likes to hang out in his underwear.

4:30 am, and everyone is waking up. Tanga waits outside the bedroom where Tiim and JRB are talking so that she can ramble aimlessly to Tiim.

SuperCalvin has a decision to make concerning breakfast. Which does he want? On the right we have:

Fresh home-made waffles prepared just a few minutes ago by Zach. On the left we have:

Spoiled Autumn salad made the previous night and left out. It has spoiled. So which will SuperCalvin choose?

Of course he chose the spoiled food. He is not a smart man.

As dawn breaks, SuperCalvin begins to regret his choice of breakfast.

Also, there is a limit on how many labels I can use, so not everyone who appeared today will be labeled.

Dongs Household, Day 2

As we last left the Sims, all but 3 people had stayed up the entire night and were having to go to work shortly. The goal for today is to get enough beds for everyone to be able to sleep in a bed every night.

I didn't manage to visit any of the new neighbors yet, and they haven't come to visit either, but soon, I will get around to it!

As you can see, Abe is still trying to get the “be mean to SuperCalvin” goal out of the way, unfortunately SuperCalvin is hopping into the car to get to work. Abe will have to wait until later to slap him.

At least Abe can be mean to other people. I am not totally sure how Tiim didn't notice Abe sneaking into the bathroom, but luckily for Abe, Tiim was standing there staring at a wall for long enough for him to be able to.

Once safely behind Tiim without being noticed, it is time to scare him! This seems to be a common action for sims with the mean-spirited trait.

Alderaan's job doesn't start until 3 pm and everyone else is off by 9:30 or so, so I get to spend hours watching Alderaan do exciting things like eat jam and toast.

The job system has been changed a bit. Now you get opportunities, and if you satisfy them, your work performance goes up significantly, allowing you to get a promotion sooner. Tiim is in business, and for his job, he needs to learn how to serve coffee better.

SuperCalvin, on the other hand has to read some book on getting out of a pit. That is some great homework Army has given him.

In other news, Alderaan now spends a few hours sitting on the bed relaxing and daydreaming of money.

The job system allows you to work in a number of different ways, I let the thing choose it automatically for everyone, but each one has different advantages and disadvantages. You can meet co-workers which can make friends, but you don't get as much work done. You can work hard, which improves your work performance, but you get stressed out and need to be able to unwind when you get home or you will be in a bad mood. I don't like to play with anything that they choose though, so I let Zach suck up all he wants.

That nets me enough money to buy the beds I was wanting, I believe. The jobs everyone has is the ones that the characters wanted. Business, Journalism, and Military if you couldn't figure it out. You may also notice that despite Tanga and SuperCalvin working the same job with the same hours, Tanga gets paid $1 less than SuperCalvin. I am not totally sure how fair that is, I am pretty sure that women are supposed to earn 78 cents on the dollar or something like that. It has been a while since I looked up pay disparity between the sexes, but I am glad that the Sims keeps some of it around even though they have minimized it as much as possible.

I tossed in 3 more beds, but this didn't work in this configuration, everything was too close on the left side there, so I had to do some more moving around of the furniture to get it to fit.

This is the configuration I settled upon. I had to move the dresser out into the hallway just outside, but I am sure no one minds getting dressed in a public area instead of a bedroom. Sleeping space for up to 7 now!

With the bed in the other room changed to two singles, I don't have to worry about everyone being good enough friends to be able to sleep in a double bed together anymore. I did want to keep the one double bed in the other room though, because I believe you can only have sex in a double bed. I don't really know yet though.

Abe is a criminal, and apparently they need some extra muscle. If I can get him rested up well enough to help out before that time expires, we may be able to afford some items for entertainment.

Alderaan's opportunity is very easy to do. All she has to do is stay late. I accept.

When Abe gets home, I use his day's pay to buy an easel. Soon the artistic ones among the group might be able to start painting some true masterpieces.

I find Abe and Zach talking, and Abe isn't just making fun of Zach, he wants to show him something!

Ok, you find a chunk of dirt and grime on the floor. Cool, what will you do with it?

Zach is shocked and appalled at this display of complete disregard for personal health and safety.

I then got a popup telling me that Abe is evil. We knew that, already. Yesterday he showed that he only takes evil showers, after all.

Everyone has been asleep after they got home from work, except Abe who had to show off his dirt-eating skills before he was ready to hit the hay. Now the only one awake, Zach shows his talent for the arts and begins painting.

Here is everyone having their night's sleep. Alderaan just got home as well, she and Zach are downstairs. Not a lot seems to be going on right now though.

Zach finishes his first painting. What beauty! I shall have to display this in a prominent place of the house!

Ah, Zach's masterpiece is the sole piece of decoration in this otherwise barren house, so I hang it prominently in the living room next to the fireplace. I wanted it over the fireplace but I was not allowed.

Hungry from expending his creative juices, Zach cooks something. It is cheese-based but what could it possibly be?

No easy-mac for Zach, he makes his mac and cheese from scratch.

Gale wakes up and brushes his teeth. He is suffering a bit from poor hygiene. I think I need another shower in the house.

Tanga, likewise is getting a bit rank.

Tiim sat down on the couch, and Alderaan immediately started cuddling him. It was just after 2 when I first noticed them.

SuperCalvin starts working on achieving that opportunity.

JRB shows what class he has by talking about Tiim's family not 5 feet from Tiim. Tiim and Alderaan's cuddle-party continues.

When JRB is done insulting Tiim's family, SuperCalvin gets pretty angry at himself and starts pointing fingers and yelling.

JRB seems to be in his underwear whenever he is not at work, for some reason. Gale, Tanga, and SuperCalvin are talking about shooting stars or perhaps the “The More You Know” spots on what is it, NBC? Also of note, it has been shown in the last one, but conversations are no longer restricted to 2 people. The largest I've seen has been 3-person conversations, but it is PROGRESS. Who ever said that The Sims series is just about pumping out meaningless expansions and sequels that do very little except take the cash from fans who will buy anything with The Sims name on it?

Dawn again, and Abe wishes to finish that “be mean to SuperCalvin” want. Unfortunately he is too late as SuperCalvin is once again heading off to work. Perhaps next time.

The scene as dawn is breaking. Abe alone in the kitchen, Tanga and SuperCalvin head to work, JRB and Gale have a friendly conversation, and Alderaan and Tiim continue cuddling. They have been cuddling for about 4 hours so far. Is romance in the air?

Dongs Household, Day 1

Sims 3 came out yesterday, and after a long download that got stopped a couple times, I finally managed to get it down and installed. It really makes you mad that legally getting a game from an online source is so much slower than just pirating it would be, but it is installed now, and I have created the family and played their first day. I also evicted every single other person from their houses, so I hopefully won't have to see their ugly faces around.

With that exciting introduction out of the way, check out the first in-game day of Sims 3 and meet the sims that represent you and the other internet people.

I apologize for the first 2 screenshots being so dark, I started with Zscreen because of the ability to take cropped screenshots, but it took them very dark. Luckily I checked to see how they looked before too long, but I did miss out the first 2 pictures being visible. Also, I am still trying to figure out how to make large pictures show up right, so they will all be thumbnailed. If a picture is too small to see, click it!

On the top row, from left to right is: JohnnyRoast Beef (JRB hereafter), Zach Dongs, Tiim Dongs (no relation to Zach), Alderaan Deathstar'd (it is a Star Wars joke, you see!), HonestAbe Butts, Tanga Boner. On the lower row, the fat beardy ginger is of course MrGale Dicklick, and the one who looks like a gnome with progeria is SuperCalvin Sucksadick.

Get ready for an information dump, as I am going to tell you more about each of these lovely people!

JRB- An absent minded, easily impressed, friendly man who is often inappropriate and has a good sense of humor. His favorite music is indie rock, he loves the color orange, his favorite food is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and he has ambitions to be the leader of the free world.

Zach- An artistic bookworm, he loves the outdoors, and is a schmoozer. He also seems to share with one Tobias Funke (of Arrested Development, if you didn't get that reference right away, go to Hulu right now) the unfortunate disorder of being a never-nude. Zach loves the color violet, his favorite food is parfait, and when he listens to music, it is children's music.

Tiim- An ambitious bookworm, he is also a coward and a snob, and his disdain for all things water-related makes him quite the hydrophobic. His favorite food is lobster thermidor, his favorite music is classical, and his favorite color is white.

Alderaan- An ambitious, excitable woman, she is also a great kisser, hopeless romantic, and she has trouble staying asleep, waking at the slightest noise.

HonestAbe- Not a very nice man at all. He is a daredevil, evil, grumpy, and mean-spirited. The only things that bring joy to his black black soul are being mean, and fishing. His favorite food is salmon, his favorite color is hot pink, and of course Abe is well known for his love of electronica. All day Abe talks about how much he loves electronica. Abe's lifetime ambition is to be a criminal mastermind.

Tanga- She is a heavy sleeper who dislikes children, loves the outdoors, and is also a flirt and a great kisser. Her favorite food is Philly cheesesteaks, her favorite color is grey, and her favorite kind of music is latin music. I think that means salsa, but it well could be what the Romans rocked out to 2000 years ago. Her lifetime ambition is to be a heart-breaker, the girlfriend of 10 different people at once.

MrGale- Those of you in the know may notice that the usually skinny blond that is MrGale has turned into a fat, beardy ginger. He has become what he hated most of all. Anyhow, he is a flirty, charismatic, great kisser. He is also a schmoozer and he is mean-spirited. His favorite music is pop, his favorite food is cookies, and his favorite color is pink. His ambition, like Tanga is to be a heartbreaker.

SuperCalvin- a clumsy daredevil, he is charismatic and a party animal. Also, he is insane. He enjoys key lime pie, classical music, and the color lime. His ambition is to be super popular.

We move into the largest house we can afford, and I buy it fully furnished so that I don't have to mess around too much.

The downstairs. You'll notice there is no TV or computer, or even a bookshelf. The only thing that the household will have to entertain themselves for a while will be each other.

And the upstairs. We have room for 3 people to sleep right now, but I do some remodeling and get that up to room for 4 people, as well as getting the space to add in another couple beds soon.

unpausing, the first thing SuperCalvin did was make a face, disgusted with some lamp in the house. What a whiner.

Abe's first action is to insult Zach. Abe just is not a nice person.

Once inside, Abe insults Zach some more. In the background, Tiim and Gale get acquanted.

The job search system is a lot easier with this version. Every single career track is open from just the newspaper, you don't have to check the newspaper every single day to find something anymore. Anyhow, I get everyone a job in the track they want. The first priority will be to get enough money to get them beds.

I look upstairs and found Gale sneaking around.

He is quite the sneaky man.

JRB is apparently easily scared. Though really, if that big fat man snuck up on me and shouted, I might startle as well.

The chat system has also been improved, you can see what people are talking about, how good of friends they are, and what the other person thinks of the conversation right then. It is a pretty nice feature. Tiim thinks Zach is okay.

Abe is very angry with everyone, this is not news.

I caught Abe taking a shower fully clothed.

What important business do you have that needs to be done so quickly, Abe? Oh, you need to criticize Zach's family. Really though, they are pretty terrible, they made Zach.

Abe then insults bookworms, which if you can remember from about 5 minutes ago, Zach is. Abe really seems to like picking on Zach.

Tiim tries to use the bathroom, but as always in the sims, there is someone in there doing something that has nothing to do with the intended uses of a bathroom.

Abe insults Zach some more.

The wants system has also been changed, I will go into it more later, but Abe's want right now is to imply that someone's mother is a llama. That is harsh.

IT IS EXTREME RELAXING TIME!

JRB and Tiim gossip about Gale. Probably about how I have made him a fat beardy ginger, but if not, what rumors can they possibly be talking about?

A terrible guilty secret? Tell me more!

That is quite the terrible guilty secret.

With only one sink to wash dishes and for some reason all of them wanting to wash their own plate, we get lots of pathing errors. Gale is also sneaking up to scare JRB again.

Alderaan is the first to go to bed. Don't worry, she only makes it about halfway into the night because everyone chooses that bedroom as the place to talk.

An hour after Alderaan goes to sleep, Zach calls it a night as well.

Tiim decides to sleep on the couch downstairs, and everyone else stands around all night because no one is good enough friends with anyone to share the remaining 2 spots on the 2 double beds.

Soon JRB strips down to his boxers for some reason.

What is making Abe so fiendishly happy?

NO ABE! DON'T CRITICIZE A PUERTO RICAN'S FAMILY!

Abe also has the want to be mean to SuperCalvin. Hasn't fate already delivered him a bad enough hand?

Abe also wants to take an EVIL shower.

But he cant because it is the Sims, so everyone is hanging out in the bathroom. Eventually everyone clears out and he takes his evil shower, it looked like a regular shower to me, but if Abe says it was evil, it must have been.

With dawn, the carpool for 2 of the sims comes and I call it quits for day one.

The Sims 3 comes out in 2 weeks, 1 day. I want to get everything I can all set and ready to go so that I can get myself started on creating the characters for everyone on the day of release. As of right now, I am planning one house which I will play and then extra houses of people to fill out the neighborhood. As such, I will be planning on this house being 8 characters rather than my traditional six.

If you are looking to join up, feel free to comment here with a description or picture of what you want to look like as well as what traits you want.
